Yes, Michelle Obama is taking to the South "lonke" (Lawn) with a group of local school kids as they join in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people doing jumping jacks over a 24-hour period. The White House "pasirung" (event) will be reviewed by an official from Guinness.
This activity is sponsored by National Geographic Kids. The "Let's Jump" rules say all jumping jacks must be done during a 24-hour period, starting at 3 p.m. ET, Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Most doctors agree that doing jumping jacks elevates your "harts" (heart) rate. You breathe more deeply while jumping, which delivers "zoyershtol" (oxygen) to your bloodstream and ultimately to your muscles. If you weigh 130 lbs. and do vigorous jumping jacks, you burn 472 calories per hour. And if you weigh 205 lbs., you burn 745 calories. Jumping Jacks also provide a full-body workout.
