Purim is over, but apparently the victory celebrations continue for our "Modern Maccabees" of the sports playing fields around the World.
golf Men's Golf--Playing on the Champions Tour, Bruce Fleisher had a 45th place finish in the Toshiba Classic, earning $6825 for the event. He had rounds of 69, 69 and 70 to finish with a total of 208, which was 5 under par for his three rounds. In three events he has played in 2014, Bruce has earnings of $15,685 and has a scoring average of 71.33 as of March 16.

Ice Hockey (NHL)--Calgary Flames' left wing Mike Cammalleri has extended his current scoring streak to 4 games through March 15. On March 14, he netted two goals as the Flames burned the Dallas Stars, 4-3. On March 15, despite his two power-play assists, the Flames were extinguished by the Phoenix Coyotes, 2-3. Thus far this season, Cammalleri has 30 points (19 goals and 11 assists) in 51 games. Phoenix center Jeff Halpern was scoreless in his team's victory. Halpern, the most-senior of the NHL's Jewish contingent, has scored 9 points (3 goals and 6 assists) in 55 games this season.

hockey Ice Hockey (EIHL)--Brothers Adam and Michael Henrich did not record any points in their last game for the Coventry Blaze, but Adam was assessed two penalty minutes. Adam has 65 points (25 goals and 40 assists) and 142 penalty minutes in 44 games and Michael has 50 points (16 goals and 34 assists) in 49 games this season. The Henrich brothers, who have played professional hockey in the AHL as well as in Europe for over a decade, will be conducting a hockey camp this Summer in their native Thornhill, Ontario, Canada from July 21-25. tennis2 Men's Tennis (ATP)--As of March 16, Dudi Sela was ranked 61st in the World. In six events he has played this year, Sela has a 6-6 singles won-loss record and a 1-2 doubles record with earnings of $94,172.
tennis2 Women's Tennis (WTA)--As of March 16, Shahar Peer was ranked 88th in the World. Through six events this year, she has a singles record of 2-6 and a doubles record of 3-2. Peer has recorded earnings of $75,074 as of the Purim holiday.
