Basketball (NBA):
Omri Casspi has been a positive factor for the Sacramento Kings since returning from a back injury earlier this month. On Jan 20, the Kings sailed over the Lakers in LA 112-93. Casspi narrowly missed a double-double with 9 points and 9 rebounds in that game. On Jan 21, he was back in the starting rotation, and he scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 38 minutes of playing time, as the Kings beat the Atlanta Hawks at home 91-88. On Jan 23, the Kings out-paced the Pacers in Indiana 108-97. Casspi scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in that game. The Kings have won their last 5 games and now have a 20-23 won-loss record this season.

Coach David Blatt was released by the Cleveland Cavaliers after having led them to a 30-11 won-loss record this season.
Women's Basketball (Israeli Elite League):
Naama Shafir dished off 8 assists to help Maccabi Ramat Chen defeat Jerusalem on Jan 21. Ramat Chen has won 14 of their 15 games this season.

Ice Hockey:

On Jan 23, the NJ Devils grounded the Jets in Winnipeg by a score of 3-1. Mike Cammalleri recorded two assists in that contest for the Devils. He now has 38 points (14 goals and 24 assists) in 41 games this season.
