Three reminders: It would be nice to give mishloach manot to local Jewish sports stars on Purim. It would be meaningful to donate a nickel or dime for each goal scored by Jewish hockey players in your hometown to One Family Fund to help terror victims. Women's Basketball (Israeli Women's Elite League): On Feb. 16, Elitzur Ramle narrowly edged Herzliya, 51-49. Naama Shafir scored 6 points for Ramle. On Feb. 18, Ramle defeated Hapoel Rishon LeZion, 75-68. Shafir had 5 points and 6 rebounds. On Feb. 16, Ashdod squeaked by Elitzur Holon 85-83. Shay Doron scored 20 points and dished off 6 assists for Ashdod. On Feb. 18, she had 9 points and 4 assists as Ashdod romped over Ramat HaSharon 73-49. |

Ice Hockey (NHL): On Feb. 20, Mike Cammalleri scored a pair of goals to help the NJ Devils beat Vancouver 4-2. On Feb. 21, the Devils blew over the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1, and Cammalleri recorded an assist. He now has 28 points (20 goals and 8 assists) in 47 games this season. |

(AHL): Carter Camper had a goal and an assist on Feb. 20, to help the Binghamton Senators beat the Hershey Bears 5-3. On Feb. 21, he scored a goal, however the Senators were defeated by the Syracuse Crunch, 3-5. Camper has a total of 32 points (9 goals and 23 assists) in 53 games thus far this season. |

(European Hockey): Brett Sterling scored another goal and he now has 49 points (22 goals and 27 assists), 100 penalty minutes and a +24 rating in 46 games for Salzburg EC of the Austrian league. Jacob Micflikier added 3 goals and an assist to his resume, and he now has 42 points (21 goals and 21 assists) through 49 games with Linkopings HC in the Swedish Hockey League this season. |
