Men's Basketball (NBA):
Omri Casspi did not play the last two games for the Sacramento Kings. He is averaging 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds for 20 games this season. His field-goal percentage (.539) and free-throw percentage (.852) this season is the best he's posted in his NBA career. Gal Mekel has made just one basket in his three games with New Orleans since signing with them last weekend. He has dished off 11 assists thus far.

player Women's Basketball (Israeli Elite League):
On Dec. 8, Naama Shafir scored 13 points as Elitzur Ramle coasted to an easy 87-70 victory over Hapoel Rishon LeZion in Rishon LeZion. Ramle now has a 6-2 won-loss record this season.
Ice Hockey (NHL):
Jason Zucker has 10 goals and 4 assists in 26 games for the Minnesota Wild. Mike Cammalleri (NJ Devils) and Mike Brown (San Jose Sharks) are both on the injured list. Cammalleri is listed as "day-to-day" and Brown is expected to miss several games.
