Manager Brad Ausmus has led the Detroit Tigers to a 61-48 won-loss record, 1st place in the American League Central Division. Detroit second baseman Ian Kinsler (Jewish father) is batting .291 with 11 home runs and 59 runs- batted-in. Mlwaukee Brewers' left fielder Ryan Braun (Jewish father) is batting .291 with 14 HR and 65 RBI. Toronto Blue Jays' third baseman Danny Valencia is batting .285 with 2 HR and 11 RBI. Pittsburgh Pirates' first baseman Ike Davis is batting .240 with 7 HR and 33 RBI.

On the pitcher's mound, Boston Red Sox' Craig Breslow has a 2-3 won-loss record with a 4.95 earned-run-average in 40 innings in 42 games. Houston Astros' Scott Feldman (Jewish father) has a 5-8 won-loss record with a 4.13 ERA in 117 2/3 innings in 20 games. He has struck out 64 batters and walked 37.

In a tournament held in Bamberg, Germany, Team Israel won 2 of 3 games, proving they are ready for their competition in the European Championships. Israel lost the first game to Russia, 75-82 despite 20 points by Omri Casspi. Yaniv Green (11) and Lior Eliyahu (10) also scored in double digits. Guy Panini and Gal Mekel also contributed to their effort. Israel defeated Germany in the second game, 91-84, bolstered by 17 point performances by Casspi and Eliyahu. Mekel (12), Green (10) and Yotam Halperin (10) also scored in double digits. Israel had no trouble defeating Latvia in the third game of the mini- tourmanent, 94-86. Casspi stepped it up a notch, scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Eliyahu scored 17, Mekel and Green each scored 15 points, and Halperin scored 11. Mekel also contributed 6 assists. Panini and Elisha Kadir also helped Israel with their consistent play on the court. Israel takes on Montenegro in Cyprus (because of the situation in Israel) in just a few days.

Australian Olympic silver medalist Jessica Fox has won 9 of 16 races she has competed in this year. She also has one 2nd place and one 3rd place finish in 2014.
soccer football Soccer (MLS):
Midfielder Benny Feilhaber (Jewish father) has 3 goals (8 shots-on-goal) and 5 assists in 21 contests for Sporting Kansas City. Kansas City goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum has a 4-0-1 won-loss-tie record. He has allowed just 5 goals in the five games he has played this year and has made 13 saves.

Men's Tennis (ATP):
Dudi Sela improved his ranking to 84th in the World. He has a 16-18 singles' won-loss record with earnings of $292,220.
