Israeli / American minor league rookie pitcher Dean Kremer has started five games since having signed with the Ogden Raptors. He has a 0-1 won-loss record with a 4.40 earned-run-average through 14 1/3 innings pitched. Kremer has struck out 12 batters and has walked just 2.


Israeli judoka Sagi Muki finished in 4th place, just narrowly missing a medal.
Yarden Gerbi won a bronze medal in judo, defeating her opponent from Japan, thus becoming the first Israeli medalist in Rio, and winning the 8th medal ever for Israel. Since 1992, Israeli athletes have won medals in all but one Olympics.
Maayan Davidovitch has been catching the waves in windsurfing.

American gymnast Aly Raisman and Team USA won a team gold medal for the second Olympics in a row.
