As the snows begin to melt in Jerusalem, several of the World's top Jewish sports stars are continuing to have a hot season in their respective sports.

basketballMen's Basketball
On Dec 18, the Houston Rockets beat the Chicago Bulls at home in Texas and soared over the team from the "windy city" 109-94. Omri Casspi nailed 4-of-4 free-throws and scored 10 points in 21 minutes off the bench, marking his 10th game of the season in double digits. Casspi has helped the Houston Rockets to a 17-9 won-loss record thus far this season. He has scored 218 points in 25 games and is averaging 8.7 for the season. Casspi's 2-point field goal and free throw percentages are the best of his NBA career to date.

Elitzur Ramle is still undefeated in 8 games this season in Israel's top women's league. Naama Shafir scored 10 points in their 93-81 victory over Petah Tikva on Dec 12. Shafir has scored 68 points (8.5 average) thus far this season. She is also averaging 3.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game for Ramle. Naama has ,,made 51.7% of her field goals and 87% of her free throws this season. Shafir is averaging just under 29 minutes of playing time per game.

ice hockeyIce Hockey
Evan Kaufmann has scored 26 points (11 goals and 15 assists) in 24 games for the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers of the German DEL thus far this season. Kaufmann has a +15 rating, the best of his pro career to date.
